I’m currently working on a scheme for a client and we’re working towards a colour scheme for the majority of the house. I love putting colour schemes together; I find working with colour and tones exciting and think it can make or break a space. This is the process I’ve always used when putting a scheme together for my clients. 1. Choose your main colour - most people tend to be drawn to a certain colour. If that’s the case, I always believe that to begin with you […] Continue reading →

This is my kind of bedroom! I found this gorgeous room whilst doing my daily bit of pinning on Pinterest … and it is completely my style as well as my favourite colours so I wanted to share it with my readers … I love the simple and strong lines on the furniture mixed with the patterened cushions and rug! Just love love love … I think grey is such a fantastic colour – if you hadn’t guessed by now it is one of my favourites! Mixing grey and teal provides a […] Continue reading →

This year’s colour is Emerald Green; lively, bold and radiant … it’s a colour which is elegant and beautiful. Pantone 17-5641 provides a sense of balance and harmony and I believe this to be true in any of it’s applications. This year, we’ll see Emerald as a prominent colour in fashion, design, decor and home interior trends. I believe it is, without doubt, a perfectly colour to provide calm, serenity and balance in any home or interior design. Eatrice Eiseman, […] Continue reading →

Hi readers … apologies for my absence over the majority of December. I’d figured that things would calm down a bit and I’d be able to blog to my heart’s content … but (thankfully) no such luck … my projects have been going full-steam ahead and I’ve been running around like a headless chicken. All of the blogs I’ve been following have been super full of Christmas stuff and it is so gorgeous and inspiring. But as I sit and write this and look […] Continue reading →

I love this simple colour concept from Sarah Hearts … These colours are quite intense if you were to use them to completely decorate a room, but as accents they can really brighten up a space  The Design Fairy x […] Continue reading →

Getting into the spirit of things this week my colour concept that I love is based on traditional candy corn straight out of the USA! I love the mix of oranges and greys – these two colours have been particularly popular in the change of season within the world of interiors. This week, though, I’m focusing on Halloween … so if you’re looking for a little inspiration to decorate your home here are a few ideas which I’ve been collecting on my Pinterest account […] Continue reading →

Our fab friends over at Dovetail-Living requested a green colour concept this week via our page on Facebook and funnily enough today’s scheme from Design Seeds (my favourite place for colour concepts) is Leaf Green. Many people associate green with negative thoughts relating to jealousy, hence ‘the green-eyed monster’ but actually it should be seen as anything but this. The natural greens, from forest to lime, are seen as tranquil and refreshing, with a natural balance of […] Continue reading →

I love this colour concept from Design Seeds … I just love the colour purple – Purple is the colour of riches an royalty, and nothing says luxury like it. From the deepest velvety violet to the prettiest pastel lilac, there is a shade of purple that will work for everyone. The Design Fairy x […] Continue reading →

Green is perceived as a tricky colour for interiors … people instantly think of ‘green-eyed’ monster when they hear of the colour; but actually it connotates so much more than that. Green is the color of nature, fertility, life. Grass green is the most restful color. Green symbolizes self-respect and well being; it’s the colour of balance, learning, growth and harmony. So if you’re looking to create a fresh and balanced room perhaps consider a green scheme […] Continue reading →

Everyone wants to create a home which is unique and personal to them. It’s a fact that about 90% of people try to make their home unique by improving certain aspects of it by redecorating and trying to use items and/or colours that are not use by others. One of the most inexpensive ways of modifying a house, in order to make it unique is to add bold colour to a space. Using bright colours adds another dimension to a room by adding to it’s atmosphere. The most prominent aspect of […] Continue reading →
