Morocco was one of Saint Laurent’s true loves; it’s no wonder he owned some beautiful and impressive properties around Tangiers and Morrocco … one of which is his famous home in Marrakec. In 1980 YSL learned that one of the city’s most stunning gardens, the Jardin Majorelle, had fallen into disrepair he bought it along with his parner Pierre Berge. The gardens have now become one of the most popular tourist spots in city of Marrakech

When YSL died in 2008, his ashes were scattered at Jardin Majorelle. And so, for 25 dirham, you can tour the garden and pay your respects. His official memorial is tucked away in the back of the garden.
