So you’re keen to get your new kitchen design underway, who wouldn’t be? Just remember it is good to work with a budget, otherwise the cost of putting a new kitchen can spiral out of control … trust me!
You’re going to be using this kitchen for the forseeable future – so when you start planning the refurbishment make sure that each decision reflects your taste of the kitchen that you’re looking for and your needs. Use your common sense – you don’t want your kitchen to be a burden on you financially so when it comes to planning make a list of what A) you definitely need and B) things that you would like but could live without.
Simple suggestions to save money
One way of saving money is to do some of the work yourself; rather than paying for someone take on the small jobs such as painting and decorating. Things which you could do to save money include painting and clearing up mess for example.
You can also save money by choosing your materials wisely. If you definitely want a granite worktop then perhaps you can substitute wood flooring for parquet flooring.
