My last post was about Bright Light Spaces … in contrast I came across some gorgeous examples of Interior Design which has turned to the Dark Side via HomeDit today …

Decorating a dark room really allows you to use bright colours which perhaps you wouldn’t have thought of using with more neutral and light schemes. Dark colours allow you to use bold and bright accessories such as a large yellow pear (see above), bright blue cupboards or a barbie pink coffee table, for example. These colours will really stand out!

So if you’re thinking of doing something a little different with your home maybe try a darker base colour and use some bright accessories to contrast against it! Colourful flowers, lots of soft cushions and good lighting will ensure that the space doesn’t become too dark and creepy!
