My draw almost fell to the floor when I saw the interior design of this beautiful residence put together by Lichten Craig. It’s totally up my street – a neutral palette with a touch of grey and lavender accompanied by some striking yet simple furniture. It’s fair to say I’m very much in love with this home … I’m in love … The Design Fairy x […] Continue reading →
I fell in love with Myra Hoefer’s home this week when I was writing my interior focus post on Fluff & Feathers. What really attracts me to this home is the monochrome palette and mix of french and modern furniture. I think it is such a beautiful home, but calm and relaxing at the same time. Happy Friday my lovely readers! To kick-start the weekend I’m sharing a room which I pinned to my Pinterest account this week which I absolutely love. It’s a very neutral lounge space – and although some may think it a tad boring in terms of the colour scheme I just find it so comforting, inviting and calm! The Design Fairy x […] Continue reading →
This week I’m taking a look at celeb Reese Witherspoon’s gorgeous California Home. It’s simply lovely – simple, full of light and soft, neutral tones … I find it hard to find anything to dislike about her home. Designed by Kristen Buckingham, you can see that she has tried to keep the design as natural as possible. Filled with wooden furniture and the random leather piece here and there; the home feels comfortable and not like it is trying too hard. It’s […] Continue reading →
When you’re putting a space together it’s not always necessary to stick with just one style or one colour … mixing styles can be an excellent way to create an eclectic and stylish space. I’m a huge fan of mixing classical / vintage pieces with slightly more modern styles. I love this space below; it’s full of adventure and detail – the mix of vintage and new elements makes your eyes dart all over the space trying to take it all in! In this room the […] Continue reading →
I stumbled upon Adam Levine’s home when I was reading Architectural Digest the other day. His bachelor pad is up in the Hollywood Hills, California, mixing sophistication with contemporary, but good taste. His home exudes an air of calm confidence. It’s filled with design classics such as Jean Prouvé, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Arne Jacobsen, and other 20th-century-design icons. I’ve never been a massive fan of this sort of style but this home has been pulled together […] Continue reading →
This week the room I love is a lounge I’d seen on Elle Decoration which I shared on my Facebook page a few weeks ago … This is one of the rooms designed by Darryl Carter for his parents in their Bal Harbour, Florida home. I love the simple pale palette used in this room; it ensures that the sea and beautiful view are kept at the forefront of the mind. I’m also a fan of his use of sculptural objet – for example the large stone ball behind the dining chair. It adds […] Continue reading →
Yesterday I was focusing on Home Office‘s which had the animal print theme to them … today my room inspiration is from Meghan Carter’s blog … Much like Meghan, I grew up thinking that animal print was a bit tacky … but as you’ve seen throughout my blog posts this week I’ve actually come to quite like it. I think if done correctly, i.e. not over the top, adding a little splash of animal print here or there can be a great focal point within a room […] Continue reading →
New York conjures up images of hustle and bustle, a city that never sleeps … but hidden behind the facade of a beautiful building is a home which exudes glamour in a subtle and stylish manner … The apartment was designed by William Sofield. Throughout, as you’ll be able to see by the gorgeous photos below, soothing textures and subtle colour palettes are used. The beautiful home accessories and gleaming accents throughout have worked with the subtleties to create a sense […] Continue reading →
Continuing on from the glamorous home office which I posted about yesterday, I thought I’d also share this Hollywood Glam Lounge … The room is so pretty, peaceful and a little romantic – I love the simple tones, the details such as the beading on the sofa and the mirrored coffee table – it all just fits together so well … this is what my dream living room would look similar to!
