I fell in love with Myra Hoefer’s home this week when I was writing my interior focus post on Fluff & Feathers. What really attracts me to this home is the monochrome palette and mix of french and modern furniture. I think it is such a beautiful home, but calm and relaxing at the same time. Today the room I’m swooning over is a bathroom I found when I was reading Vintage and Chic’s blog … when you look at the snap below it’s really not hard to see why! Growing up I was always told never to mix silver and gold … and I’ve always kind of abided by that rule my mother taught me – until now! Looking at this image I think the gold of the mirror & wall sconces stands out beautifully against the mirrored bathroom cabinet … which in a […] Continue reading →

Bathrooms come in all shapes and sizes – from modern and contemporary through to completely classic and traditional. This week I’m working on a bathroom design for a client who loves grey and traditional styled spaces and I found this bathroom on KBCulture … a blog dedicated to bathrooms and kitchens. This space has given me so much inspiration for their design. The gorgeous floor tiles along with the grey and white panelling and traditional sanitary ware has made this a […] Continue reading →

I saw this snap of a bathroom whilst doing some pinning today on Pinterest and decided to ignore my current blog post and share this instead: I love the mosaics on the wall – their intricate ikat pattern and simple stone worktop compliment one another so well. My favourite bit of this room, however, has to be the gorgeous mirror – I LOVE pink gold as a material – it has such a beautiful and soft glow about it … and so this mirror, for me, is just an amazing piece! I […] Continue reading →

I love the mix of neutral tones in this bathroom – the mixture of grey, gold and taupe within the linear glass wall tiles, the dark vanity unit with a light marble top, polished nickel wall mount taps and a beautiful chandelier – it all ties in so well together to create a beautiful bathroom. I think the tiles are the key feature here – they look like they are almost made of pearl … The Design Fairy x […] Continue reading →

I stumbled upon Adam Levine’s home when I was reading Architectural Digest the other day. His bachelor pad is up in the Hollywood Hills, California, mixing sophistication with contemporary, but good taste. His home exudes an air of calm confidence. It’s filled with design classics such as Jean Prouvé, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Arne Jacobsen, and other 20th-century-design icons. I’ve never been a massive fan of this sort of style but this home has been pulled together […] Continue reading →

New York conjures up images of hustle and bustle, a city that never sleeps … but hidden behind the facade of a beautiful building is a home which exudes glamour in a subtle and stylish manner … The apartment was designed by William Sofield. Throughout, as you’ll be able to see by the gorgeous photos below, soothing textures and subtle colour palettes are used. The beautiful home accessories and gleaming accents throughout have worked with the subtleties to create a sense […] Continue reading →
