I fell in love with Myra Hoefer’s home this week when I was writing my interior focus post on Fluff & Feathers. What really attracts me to this home is the monochrome palette and mix of french and modern furniture. I think it is such a beautiful home, but calm and relaxing at the same time. I came across this inspirational home last week when I was posting about a chic bathroom design which had concentrated on the colours silver and gold. In fact, I didn’t just love the bathroom – but the whole house which I found on Vintage & Chic’s blog. This home was featured in Russia’s Architectural Digest so I can’t really tell you much about it. The main focal point of the home is that it has been decorated and designed, primarily, in gold, silver, […] Continue reading →

This week I’m taking a look at celeb Reese Witherspoon’s gorgeous California Home. It’s simply lovely – simple, full of light and soft, neutral tones … I find it hard to find anything to dislike about her home. Designed by Kristen Buckingham, you can see that she has tried to keep the design as natural as possible. Filled with wooden furniture and the random leather piece here and there; the home feels comfortable and not like it is trying too hard. It’s […] Continue reading →

Bathrooms come in all shapes and sizes – from modern and contemporary through to completely classic and traditional. This week I’m working on a bathroom design for a client who loves grey and traditional styled spaces and I found this bathroom on KBCulture … a blog dedicated to bathrooms and kitchens. This space has given me so much inspiration for their design. The gorgeous floor tiles along with the grey and white panelling and traditional sanitary ware has made this a […] Continue reading →

Not only are the images gorgeous, the book will walk you through, step-by-step, practical points to consider when putting a space together. Fundamentally, the idea of the book is to help you create a mix of old and new … a space […] Continue reading →

I love the simplicity of these bookshelves … If you have space within a room a simple design such as the above picture will look impressive. A collection of books from floor to ceiling is a significant feature within any room – and a great way to tidy up and store any books you may need to attend to! This year’s colour is Emerald Green; lively, bold and radiant … it’s a colour which is elegant and beautiful. Pantone 17-5641 provides a sense of balance and harmony and I believe this to be true in any of it’s applications. This year, we’ll see Emerald as a prominent colour in fashion, design, decor and home interior trends. I believe it is, without doubt, a perfectly colour to provide calm, serenity and balance in any home or interior design. Eatrice Eiseman, […] Continue reading →

Hi readers … apologies for my absence over the majority of December. I’d figured that things would calm down a bit and I’d be able to blog to my heart’s content … but (thankfully) no such luck … my projects have been going full-steam ahead and I’ve been running around like a headless chicken. All of the blogs I’ve been following have been super full of Christmas stuff and it is so gorgeous and inspiring. But as I sit and write this and look […] Continue reading →
