Lavender Grey Interior

My draw almost fell to the floor when I saw the interior design of this beautiful residence put together by Lichten Craig. It’s totally up my street – a neutral palette with a touch of grey and lavender accompanied by some striking yet simple furniture. It’s fair to say I’m very much in love with this home … I’m in love … The Design Fairy x […] Continue reading →

On Monday I wrote a short post about the adding a little plant-inspired design to welcome Spring into your home. Today I wanted to share this gorgeous tulip-inspired colour concept from Design Seeds as I think it’s perfect for a spring colour palette: I love these colours. Pink and green within any interior provides such a sense of freshness … below are a few images which I hope will provide inspiration for a spring interior if you are thinking of mixing things up a little […] Continue reading →

With the sun out in full force today I really felt like spring may be on it’s way. It’s still pretty chilly but it was light, bright and the sun even stuck around until 5pm! With this in mind – what can you do to update your home for spring in line with the 2013 design trends? It’s become clear that botanical patterns are here to stay; so if you’re looking to incorporate some freshness into your home why don’t you add some plant-inspired prints into your […] Continue reading →

I fell in love with Myra Hoefer’s home this week when I was writing my interior focus post on Fluff & Feathers. What really attracts me to this home is the monochrome palette and mix of french and modern furniture. I think it is such a beautiful home, but calm and relaxing at the same time. I’m a girl, so of course I have innate love of all things soft and pretty. I’ve noticed, though, that recently I’ve really begun to like a touch of fluff or feather in my interiors … Looking through my Pinterest account (I know I keep mentioning it, but I’m totally addicted to it at the minute) there are quite a few fluffy and pretty looking interiors. I hope you’ve enjoyed lusting over the fluffiness and feathers as much as I have! Have a great weekend! […] Continue reading →

Happy Friday my lovely readers! To kick-start the weekend I’m sharing a room which I pinned to my Pinterest account this week which I absolutely love. It’s a very neutral lounge space – and although some may think it a tad boring in terms of the colour scheme I just find it so comforting, inviting and calm! I came across this inspirational home last week when I was posting about a chic bathroom design which had concentrated on the colours silver and gold. In fact, I didn’t just love the bathroom – but the whole house which I found on Vintage & Chic’s blog. This home was featured in Russia’s Architectural Digest so I can’t really tell you much about it. The main focal point of the home is that it has been decorated and designed, primarily, in gold, silver, […] Continue reading →

This week I’m taking a look at celeb Reese Witherspoon’s gorgeous California Home. It’s simply lovely – simple, full of light and soft, neutral tones … I find it hard to find anything to dislike about her home. Designed by Kristen Buckingham, you can see that she has tried to keep the design as natural as possible. Filled with wooden furniture and the random leather piece here and there; the home feels comfortable and not like it is trying too hard. It’s […] Continue reading →

I was given this gorgeous book for Christmas … Vintage Remix – The Interiors of Kishani Perera. If you’re ever looking for an easy-to-read guide, full of helpful and inspirational pictures then I firmly believe that this is the book for you. Not only are the images gorgeous, the book will walk you through, step-by-step, practical points to consider when putting a space together. Fundamentally, the idea of the book is to help you create a mix of old and new … a space […] Continue reading →

When you’re putting a space together it’s not always necessary to stick with just one style or one colour … mixing styles can be an excellent way to create an eclectic and stylish space. I’m a huge fan of mixing classical / vintage pieces with slightly more modern styles. I love this space below; it’s full of adventure and detail – the mix of vintage and new elements makes your eyes dart all over the space trying to take it all in! In this room the […] Continue reading →
