Wow, it’s getting very cold here in London. This morning it was minus one … and it’s set to get colder. Today’s home office inspiration comes from this beautiful white home office via The Decorista … I love the simplicity of this office; it is small but simple. The perfect desk to work away on your laptop on a cold snowy winters day! The Design Fairy x […] Continue reading →

Tis the season to be jolly … OK … it’s not December just yet but it seems everywhere I look Christmas has already arrived. I thought in the run-up to Christmas I’d do a weekly gift guide … a sample of lovely interior pieces and decor which could be the perfect gift for a loved one or friend …   The Design Fairy x […] Continue reading →

Yesterday I wrote about things you can do in your home to help keep you and your home looking and feeling cosy over the winter months. This morning I was on Graham & Green’s website looking for a piece of furniture for a client and saw the sweetest little Egg Hat and Holder under their Tabletop Section … I thought it was just the sweetest thing and a perfect little piece of decoration to keep your kids amused over the holiday season … The Design Fairy x […] Continue reading →

Earlier on today I provided tips on how to make your home a little cosier … and it’s definitely needed because it is becoming so cold outside! That said – today’s inspiration is from wintery tones … and aren’t they beautiful hues and colours? Here are some interiors which are inspired by these wintery colours …     The Design Fairy x […] Continue reading →

Winter is definitely here. The morning’s are cold and frosty and before it reaches 4pm it’s already dark outside! I’ve come up with a few tips for this week to help you keep your home feeling cosy and welcoming for the rest of the cold winter months. 1. A selection of soft throws Throws make all the difference. Drape them over your sofas, armchairs and beds – even when you are not using them to sit under and keep warm they make a space feel cosy with their softness. […] Continue reading →

Yesterday I was focusing on Home Office‘s which had the animal print theme to them … today my room inspiration is from Meghan Carter’s blog … Much like Meghan, I grew up thinking that animal print was a bit tacky … but as you’ve seen throughout my blog posts this week I’ve actually come to quite like it. I think if done correctly, i.e. not over the top, adding a little splash of animal print here or there can be a great focal point within a room […] Continue reading →

So I’ve been working on a project for a while for a client of mine and I’m so excited because it’s really started to come together. We’re almost at the end and I’m waiting for a few pieces to arrive but I just had to share this update with you today before writing about the project in full! My client really wanted a chaise in her Living Room and wanted something pretty special. The general colour scheme for the project has been grey and blue with quite a lot of […] Continue reading →

So as you can see from my Colour Concept and Design Find posts this week – I’m focusing on ANIMAL PRINT! Generally I’ve never been a huge fan of it … but a friend recently asked if I could source her an animal print stool for her make-up desk and I think I’m slowly beginning to change my mind. I think the thing about using animal print within interior design is to ensure that you use one or two key pieces – rather than going animal print crazy if you […] Continue reading →

Yesterday my post was a colour concept inspired by the photo of the two baby cheetahs my father took on his last safari … following on from this I’ve been searching for some animal printed furniture and this is what I’ve found … The Design Fairy x […] Continue reading →

For my colour concept today I decided to do something a little. I decided to create my own! My inspiration was from a picture of two baby cheetahs that my dad took whilst he was away on safari the last time. It is possibly one of my favourite pictures – it just shows so much natural love and just complete sweetness & care between two animals – it makes my heart melt! …. OK Enough with the soppy stuff though – I used a website called DeGraeve – it lets you […] Continue reading →
