I stumbled acrossed a brief post the other day showing some pics of the SLS Hotel down in South Beach, Miami and just had to blog about it. The interior pretty much took my breath away – it is so beautiful and detailed … you can just tell so much thought has gone into every aspect of it … SBE’s award-winning SLS Hotels brand has become synonymous with timeless elegance, intrigue and a heightened guest experience. With the unveiling of the SLS Hotel South Beach, sbe […] Continue reading →

I just love this sofa from Anthropologie … I couldn’t find much about it online; I saw it whilst looking through an Elle Decor recently but just loved it. Right on trend with an ikat type print; it is filled with down to make it perfect for a great afternoon or evening of lounging around. The Design Fairy x […] Continue reading →

I came across this tree on Pinterest today and just couldn’t believe my eyes. Whilst I tend to deal with Interiors generally, I felt this house just had to be shared … Do-ho suh’s work ‘fallen star’ opened to the public as the 18th sculpture of the University of San Diego’s Stuart collection. The Stuart collection was developed to enhance the intellectual pursuits and cultural interests of the student body. Do-ho Suh created this piece of work in his […] Continue reading →

One of the major things which clients need help with tends to be storage solutions … when you’re designing a home it is always imperative to keep in mind where things are going to be stored … ultimately as we move from home to home we collect more and more; and we need to find somewhere to keep it all! The cure for clutter is to edit it; go through it and put it into piles of what you definitely need to keep, what you would like to keep, what you are unsure about and what […] Continue reading →

I recently exhibited at the Great British Home Show and received loads of compliments about my fairy lights … Fairy lights are a great way to create an atmosphere with a glow without going to huge expense. They create a soft and warm mood lighting, perfect if you’re trying to create a relaxed feel within a room or if you’re looking to showcase a special feature. I love this image below. Twinkling fairy lights have been attached to the rim of this plant box of bulbs which […] Continue reading →

When the sun shines in London I automatically want to be by the beach. I started to have a browse this morning online, looking for inspiration for a perfect beach house and here is what I’ve found. Typing in ‘beach chic’ or ‘chic coastal living’ into Google brings up so many gorgeous and inspirational images … it was really difficult to choose just a few that I liked! The Design Fairy x […] Continue reading →

A client of mine is very keen on the Mah Jong sofa range by Roche Bobois … so I went to check it out yesterday; if I’m honest … a little sceptical at first because so much colour is not really my thing but I have to admit I was completely won over … The chairs are very casual and pretty comfy too – but the coverings give them quite an expressive style. The snaps I took above are chairs covered in Missoni fabrics; bright, bold and at the least […] Continue reading →

Love this Beach Styled Living Room … The cream, white and powder blue materials work well together in the bright space and bring out the quirky metallic side tables and wooden coffee table. The Design Fairy x   Beach Style   […] Continue reading →

Wondering along Wandsworth Bridge Road this afternoon I was on the hunt for a shabby chic chest of drawers. I came across a great shop called Ann May which I’ve not been into before … unfortunately they don’t have a website but you can find them at 80 Wandsworth Bridge Rd, SW6 2TF. Down in the basement I found a gorgeous pair of Louis XV chairs … They are covered in a gorgeous soft lime silk with a soft yellow and pastel pink floral design. Doesn’t sound great, […] Continue reading →
